The set comes in four distinct parts, smallest to largest they are: the fire rescue vehicle, the fire engine, the fire station, the living/admin quarters. Each part can be built individually, their pieces already separately bagged and clearly numbered in the box. This is a great feature, as not only do you not have to build it all in one go, but if you have an excitable child wanting to play, you can build the smaller parts first so they have something to play with while you get on with the larger parts.

The set has provided hours of role playing fun for my son and daughter, together. They talk about fire safety as part of their play, which can only be a good thing. I am very impressed with the set and will certainly add other large Lego City playsets in the future.
